Privacy Policy

Confidentiality & Pre-Visits

At CJ House Sitting, we understand that inviting someone into your home requires a great deal of trust.

All personal information disclosed; security arrangements, personal circumstances and pet-care requirements, is treated as strictly confidential.

This information is collected solely to ensure we can provide a safe, professional and personalised service.

Relevant information will only be shared with authorised members of the CJ House Sitting team where necessary to provide your booked services, or where disclosure is otherwise legally required.

Emergency Contact Information

As part of our pre-visit process, we collect emergency contact details to ensure we can respond appropriately should an unexpected situation arise.

These contact details will only be used if we are unable to reach the pet owner for any reason during their booking.

We ask that customers ensure their nominated emergency contacts are aware that their details have been provided to CJ House Sitting.

Pet Photography & Social Media

During house sits and drop-in visits, we regularly capture photographs and videos of the pets in our care to share updates and showcase our services on our social media platforms.

We may share photographs and videos of your pets on our business social media pages, subject to your preferences and any permissions required.

For your privacy and security, we will never intentionally disclose your home address, precise location, security arrangements or other identifying household information in our social media content.

If you would prefer your pets not to appear on our social media platforms, please let us know.

As part of our house-sitting services, we occasionally create videos showcasing the cleaning and care we provide during a booking.

We will always obtain the homeowner’s permission before filming.

Permission will be discussed and agreed upon before the house sit begins.

We respect the privacy of every home and will take care not to disclose photographs, valuables, security features or other private information.

Homeowners are under no obligation to agree to filming, and declining permission will never affect the quality of care or services provided.
